Watercolors

Avery and I were painting today during Jack's nap with some watercolors. I asked her what she was making and she says "it's abstract mommy, it's one of my masterpieces, it belongs in an art museum."

I came down stairs this morning to find Avery performing in the living room. When I tried to get some video, she objected and went to perform for her mother.

Fair 2011

Backyard visitor

We found a newly hatched cicadia on the grill today, and Avery git a good look at it.

New room

We spent the past week painting the living room, tearing out the old carpet (and then cleaning up the aftermath) and then putting in a new floor. A few details remain, but the room is now livable.
