Eating and Crying

Avery has decided that she wants to use a spoon. So she helps her mother feed her her veggies, and Tuesday night took the spoon by herself.





She did very well, but burst into tears when she got squash on her nose. I guess she hates to waste food, because she had the sniffles for a little while after.

Princess

Megan anointed Avery princess this evening, with a crown of big plastic beads.

Helping

Avery likes piles of clothing, clean or otherwise. (we try to keep her in the clean clothes.) Friday, we were putting clothes away and Avery decided to help. She climbed in one of the hampers, and then climbed out. She drifted over to the other hamper, and proceeded to empty it. She took the clothes out and put them in the hall. Once the hamper was empty, she picked up the clothes again, and put them back in the hamper.

After all that, she heard the train, pointed and yelled for the sheer joy of it all.

The Lights!

Zanesville's Miracle on Main Street was last night. The city has a shindig, the band plays, kids and old ladies sing, and they turn the christmas lights on the courthouse on.

Well, it turns out that Avery loves Christmas lights. And I got to take pictures of it. So while I scrambled around taking pictures, Avery and her mother took in the sights. A good time was had by all.

Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas tree today, and Avery helped. The tree is somewhat top heavy with ornaments. While Avery helped place ornaments on the tree, she also helped remove them.






We are surrounded by Christmas lights, and Avery loves it. She loves to have us hold her to the window so she can look out at the lights. The hospital put a light 'tree' on it's roof, and we can see it from the front room. Avery looked out after helping with the tree.

Mom and Avery

We have been very busy lately, cooking dinner for Thanksgiving, visiting family the day after and going to Columbus on Saturday (COSI and Uncle Chris'). It was nice to just sit down and read a book.
