Daddy is going to learn to sew

I was surfing the old Internet the other day when I saw a very nice coat. I became covetous of said coat, until I saw the price. $500.

I am sure it is worth every penny, but I am hard on my clothes, and couldn't even begin to justify the cost.

And then I thought, why not make one? Tweak the design, add a few pockets and insulation, and learn a new skill in the process. What an idea!

But I figured I would start slow, by making a vest for Jack.

Vacation Part I

I am a lazy barstool, and have not posted in a long long time. Which I regret a bit, because the blog is such a great record of our life and the growth of the kids.

So catching up a bit-this and the rest of vacation will be last catch up post, here are some pictures of our vacation, starting in Baltimore.

Pictures from the Ripleys Believe it or Not museum. We gave the kids the choice to either go tour a boat or submarine or the museum. They chose the museum. I was skeptical at first, but it was actually pretty cool. It is really a museum of pop culture, full of random silly things. A tourist trap, but a fun one.
