Lazy Day

Today Chris worked on the downstairs bathroom (we are remodeling it) so Avery and I hung out together and played around the house with all her new toys. Thank you to everyone for making Avery Christmas's so wonderful.




Avery decided to let the turkey go for a ride down the slide.

A Girl And Her Pig

Avery's favorite Christmas present this year was an orange pig. It oinks, wags it's tail, and moves. She asks for us to turn it on, and then carries it around the house. Then she got the idea to take it for a ride in her new baby stroller.


And then she got the idea to chase the dog around the house, with her pig riding along in the stroller. Poor Rosie.

Finally, Rosie found a spot where she could hide, and Avery went through great lengths to try and get her stroller (and pig) to a spot where she could ram the dog.


We decided that Rosie needed a break, so we put her in the basement. Avery wandered around the house crying, searching for a dog to torment.

Play Date

Christy and Ella came over to exchange Christmas presents and to eat lunch yesterday. They had fun playing together with some of Avery's new toys, especially the Kangaroo Climber.





Christy and Ella gave Avery a baby doll stroller for Christmas and she really likes to use it. At first she couldn't figure out how to turn it but after a few minutes she really got the hang of it!!

Pre-Christmas

Since Uncle Chris, Aunt Shannon and the cousins Audrey and Big H were not going to be joining us for Christmas, we had a pre-Christmas party at grandma and grandpa's house Sunday. After, Avery was carrying around her new glow-in-the-dark Carebear.

The box

With her mother working late, Avery and I hung out alone Tuesday night. Wondering what would happen if I put her in a box, I placed a large box over her head and waited. She smiled and played with her turkey, and asked for more when I took the box off. So we played with the box for the rest of the night, until mother came home.

Another snow day

More snow last week, and Avery enjoyed looking out the window at all the white stuff coming down.

Snow Day

We awoke to 3 inches of snow today, and a ringing phone telling Megan she had the day off. I had no such luck, I even got called in early.

Megan and Avery took a look at the snow in the afternoon. She enjoyed it, chasing the dog around with clumps of snow and generally having a good time, despite not being quite dressed for the outdoors.






In the evening, Avery did the rounds, looking out of all the windows (some with help) to see the neighbors' Christmas lights, and then kicking the ball around the front room.
