The Lights!

Zanesville's Miracle on Main Street was last night. The city has a shindig, the band plays, kids and old ladies sing, and they turn the christmas lights on the courthouse on.

Well, it turns out that Avery loves Christmas lights. And I got to take pictures of it. So while I scrambled around taking pictures, Avery and her mother took in the sights. A good time was had by all.

Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas tree today, and Avery helped. The tree is somewhat top heavy with ornaments. While Avery helped place ornaments on the tree, she also helped remove them.






We are surrounded by Christmas lights, and Avery loves it. She loves to have us hold her to the window so she can look out at the lights. The hospital put a light 'tree' on it's roof, and we can see it from the front room. Avery looked out after helping with the tree.

Mom and Avery

We have been very busy lately, cooking dinner for Thanksgiving, visiting family the day after and going to Columbus on Saturday (COSI and Uncle Chris'). It was nice to just sit down and read a book.

Window

Chris caught Avery playing with the window the other day. She loves being outside and if she can't go out she likes to at least look out the window.

Turkey

For Thanksgiving I decorated the house with some toy turkeys and Avery has become rather attached to one in particular. She carries it around the house and pretends to feed it water.




Avery is pointing to the door, whenever she hears the train she points outside and when she hears the neighborhood dogs she tries to bark.

Bath Time

Avery likes baths, and likes to splash the water as the it comes out of the faucet.

Mommy's Purse

Avery likes to carry things around the house and bring things to us (especially Elmo dolls). Here she is carrying my purse around the house.

Feed me

Avery likes to eat. A few days ago she was all smiles, and then started a weird grunting clenching thing, and then laughing again.

Hair Style

On Sunday Avery wasn't feeling 100% so when I went to put her hair up she just sat and let me play with her hair (usually it is a struggle). I was able to try a new hair style. It didn't last long with Avery's yoga but Chris was able to get a few pictures of it.

Snack

Every night before bed Avery has some goldfish crackers, that she eats in her Elmo chair, it is really cute.

Playing with Daddy

Chris put on the clown nose I got for Halloween and Avery thought it was so funny. She kept trying to take it off of him but didn't want to wear it herself. It was really cute watching them play together.
