Eating and Drinking

Our little lass has a cold, and is not feeling very well. We have been pushing fluids and trying to get her to eat, but sometimes that is easier said than done.

Green is Friday, Yellow is Saturday.

She likes to drink out of grown up glasses, although she needs help to not spill it all over the place. She likes to share, too.

On Friday, I put some shredded cheese in a bowl, and used a mixing spoon to stir it up for her. She munched away, with the dog keeping a close eye on the proceedings.

Purse

Avery found a little bag she got for Christmas and on Friday carried it around like a purse, with a few little toys in it, including the cow and horse from her Little People farm.

Happy Valentines Day

Avery opened her Valentines Day present, some books and a flower friend.

Sledding and Painting

With yet another snow day, Avery got to go for her first sled ride today. She enjoyed it, but since it was lunch time, she didn't object to going on for a bite. Hopefully the snow will last through the weekend.

While I was at work, Mommy and Avery made a fort, and then after dinner she painted some more, and of course, made a mess.

Let Us Paint

Mommy brought home some balls that paint, and Avery took to them immediately. Then she decided, unprompted, to pay peek a boo.

Another Snow Day! (Ralpie!)

While daddy had to go wander the snowy streets of our fair city, mommy and Avery got to play in the snow- at least until it started to rain. She was bundled up well, and had trouble staying up, and once she went down, getting back up. She had to use her mother's mittens, too, as hers got wet very quickly.

Our Poor Dog

Avery was sitting on the dog the other day. I don't know why, but she seemed to enjoy it. Avery that is. Rosie just lay there.

Straws

Avery has mastered the straw.

Woof!

After I chased her around pretending to be a dog, Avery sometimes drops to all fours and pretends to be a dog. She did so on Thursday, and even chased after Rosie for a little bit. Rosie, of course, wasn't interested.

Like Pets

As it has been noted, Avery is a big fan of the Backyardigans. We got her a Pablo, which is a blue penguin, and she has started to cart it around when we go places. Here she shows Pablo his native habitat, the TV, with the rest of the backyardigans. (that is Tasha, right, and Uniqua on the screen)
