Easter Dinner

For Dinner this Easter both of Avery's grandparents were able to join us along with her Aunt Shannon, Uncle Chris, and her cousins Audrey and Henry. It was really nice to have everyone together. At first Avery was a little shy but before long she was joining her cousins playing in her toy room. By the end of the evening she was a real mothers helper, helping Henry down the slide, eating Audrey's Cheerios and removing Henry's pacifier before replacing it with a bottle.

Easter Morning

It was the first Easter Avery would be able to really participate in, and she got into the swing of things with an egg hunt.


She followed them into the back room, until she spotted her Easter basket, with a pink duck and a new book.



She read the book with her mother. It was about the Backyardigans, her favorites.


After that, we gave her a Milky Way. Being pragmatic lass, she had me hold it.





After that, she had some M&Ms. And that was it for candy this Easter. She didn't want any more the rest of the weekend.

Spring Cleaning

It spring cleaning time the weekend before last, with the family coming over for Easter. We even washed the curtains (and the windows!). As I struggled to remember which curtains went where, Avery rolled around in a pile of white, and then put little palm prints on the newly washed windows.

We wouldn't have it any other way.

Peek!

I was playing with Avery Sunday, and she climbed in her kangaroo climbers, peeked out a window, and said "peek!"

Despite our discouraging her, she still decided to climb the slide backward.

New Shoes

Lil' miss got new shoes this week. When she woke up from her nap on Saturday, she asked to put them on. Since they are still a little roomy, they fit over her pjs.

Storm of the Century

Snowed a bit this weekend, 8-10, as far as I can tell. As we are both from snowier climes we were not all that impressed, but everyone else in the SEO was, so life slowed down considerably. Avery was impressed, and we played outside for a while.

Braid

Mommy made a little braid in Avery's hair. I think one was enough work, so that is what she got.

Daddy the tent

I was pretending to be a dog, and Avery came up to me and climbed underneath me. I was daddy tent.

Cousins

We went to visit the cousins Audrey and Henry in Columbus last weekend, our last chance to see them before they head off to Brazil for a few weeks.

Sick

Avery had the croup last weekend, but is getting better. The croup is gone, but the boogers and cough lingers.

She did get to visit grandma, and the bang on some pots and pans. Friday, she showed off a piece of duct tape.
