This weekend was very relaxing. We hung out at home on Saturday and went to the church around the corner for an ice cream social (we didn't make it to the ice cream because we spent the majority of the time in the bounce house until the sky turned black and I had to drag Avery out kicking and screaming). Instead she had Italian ice on the porch while it rained. Then on Sunday we went to Black Hand Gorge and walked the trail. We returned home in time for Avery to play with daddies glasses and take a nap.

New Jewelry
On Monday Chris went back to work so Avery and I went to visit him. One of his co-workers gave Avery some things she had been saving to give to Avery from her recent Happy Meal purchases. It included a tiara, a necklace, stickers, princess cards and some fancy furry shoe cover things. Avery loved all her new presents (thanks Pam).

Fathers' day at the zoo
We went to the Zoo on Sunday, with grandma and grandpa.
When we asked, the first animal Avery wanted to see were the elephants. Or maybe the tigers. But elephants were right up there. She was captivated.
Pointing out an elephant to all around her.
Grandma and the tiger.
She also enjoyed the fish in the aquarium.
Lunch time, with a flamingo from grandma.
After lunch, it was time for goats!
And a chicken.
A very relaxed (and napless) position on the way to Uncle Chris' house.

Paaaarty!
The twins had a birthday party on Saturday. We arrived early, and checked out a nearby park, where Avery enjoyed the swing.
She also discovered the balance beam, making her way across it with a hand, and also trying it herself.
Avery likes bugs, too. Here we are looking at a "tiny bug."
Look. No middle finger. Happy Birthday, Henry!
Audrey is upwardly mobile.
Smiling for a picture involves tightly closed eyes.
No caption really necessary. No garden hoses involved.
