Mommy fired up the oven to make some trail mix with the kids this morning, and they got to choose what goes in. Also making some roasted chick peas, which should be good.
I grabbed a butt roll from work a while back, the leftover from a massive roll of newsprint from printing the paper. It sat in the basement for ages until I pulled it out for Jack and I to color on.
Last week (or maybe the week before) on Friday Jack and I went out for breakfast. Who knew Bob Evans would be so busy at 10:30 in the morning? During our wait I taught him tic tac toe. He doesn't like to lose at that, either.
Mommy and daddy helped Jack and Avery make Valentine's Day boxes for school. I was making Avery's Titanic box and trying to figure out how many stacks it had. "Four" she said. "But one was a dummy."
I was surfing the old Internet the other day when I saw a very nice coat. I became covetous of said coat, until I saw the price. $500.
I am sure it is worth every penny, but I am hard on my clothes, and couldn't even begin to justify the cost.
And then I thought, why not make one? Tweak the design, add a few pockets and insulation, and learn a new skill in the process. What an idea!
But I figured I would start slow, by making a vest for Jack.
