Supposedly this very lovely sweater given to my daughter by my dear mother is labeled '6 mo' which I would assume means 6 months. Since she is 7 weeks old on Tuesday, the label must be off.
I swear the sizing on baby clothes is just an exercise in random-number generation. The clothes that currently fit Sean perfectly range in (labelled) size from 18 months to 3T (meaning 3-year-olds). His Halloween costume was actually labelled 4T. How many 4-year-olds are under 3 feet tall, I wonder? Lori and I have found that you should pay absolutely no attention to labels on baby clothes. Once you've been buying them for a while, you'll be better off just eyeballing them.
Get used to that. :)
