Sunglasses

On Sunday everyone was playing on the porch enjoying the nice weather. Avery tried mommy's sunglasses on.

An Evening Walk

It was still light and warm when I got home from work this evening (03/21/07) so we went for a walk. After, we sat on the porch for a few minutes before retiring for the evening.

There is something wrong with my 20mm lens, which gives everything shot with it a somewhat dreamlike feel, especially in the soft evening light.

Watermelon

We gave Avery some watermelon this weekend, and she loved it.

Bottle Time

Avery didn't want to take a bottle a few days ago, so I put her in her high chair to settle her down while I fed her. She was trying to do sit-ups with her bottle when she was laying in my lap, so all that would work was her chair. She seemed quite pleased to be eating like a grownup.

She can almost hold her bottle, but not quite. She enjoys trying though.

Warm March Afternoon

Todays high was 74 degrees, so Chris stopped home before his evening assignment and we took Avery and Rosie for a walk around the neighborhood. After our walk we all sat and relaxed on the porch for a while before Chris had to go back to work.

Wigglefeet and Pasta

Avery was in her high chair a few days ago, hanging out wiggling her feet. When her feet are suspended, she works them around in circles, usually alternating.

After photographing her wiggling feet, we gave her a box of pasta. She tried to figure out how to fit it in her mouth.

Walking

The family went for a walk on Sunday. We went to Black Hand Gorge, which features a nice paved path through the woods, with glimpses of what used to be the Ohio-Erie Canal. Avery enjoyed the walk, and the walk around the neighborhood we took when we got home to give the dog a chance for some exercise.

Snow day #10

To my surprise I woke up today to a phone call telling me school was delayed due to the 1-2 inch of snow that was on the ground. Within a few hours and a few more snow flakes school had been canceled all together. So Avery and I spent the morning playing with some of her toys. She really seemed to enjoy the piano that her cousin's had given her, almost as much as chewing on her hands.

Chris, Avery and I went outside while the snow was still falling for a few pictures and to let Avery get a first hand experince of the snow.


Later in the day Avery and I had a nice surprise when our friends Christy and Ella stopped by to play for awhile. Ella who will be two this summer played with all of Avery's toys as Avery enjoyed watching her.

Ella was very sweet with Avery giving her kisses, toys to play with and trying to help her up when she fell over.

Dog Watching

Avery loves watching and touching Rosie now a days. To bad the feeling isn't mutual.

Daddy and daughter were having fun playing with their dog on the floor last sunday.

Grammie and Avery

On Sunday Grammie and Grandpa came by for a visit to play with Avery and Mortimer the moose, a new toys Avery had gotten the day before.

Once Avery got bored of her moose she found it fun to play with her Grammie's hair instead.

Bath time fun

Avery is using a new tub that allows her to sit up in the bath. She seems to really enjoy herself in the tub and splashing me as much as possible.

The Changing Table Diaries II

Avery likes to grab things, and during a recent photo shoot on her changing table before bath time, she grabbed a burp cloth and played tug-o-war with her mother. 02/27/07

The Dome

Now that Avery can sit up, her Discovery Dome is a lot more fun for her. We put her in it for the first time since sitting up on 02/27/07, and she enjoyed it very much. After, she played with her mother for a few minutes before bedtime.
