Busy Sunday

We went to Meadow Farm Methodist Church's Easter egg hunt on Sunday, since I spent Saturday putting the bathroom back together and the only other egg hunt on Sunday was during Avery's nap. So off we went. Our first task was being patient enough to wait to get the eggs.

Then we filled five plastic eggs with trinkets and put her name on them. Despite chocolate being available, she put two tiny pipe cleaner chicks in each one. Then there was some crying because we had to give them up so they could be hidden. After some compromise, including decorating a cupcake, the eggs were hidden.

We went into a tiny courtyard with other toddlers to find the eggs. She would find one, and say "does this have my name?" And if so, pop it in her basket. She is pictured finding her third egg, the fourth and fifth were not so easy. They were on a windowsill, which when you are looking under bushes might as well be on the roof. But we found them, and a good time was had by all.

After nap, we went off to Dillon and played on the playground and returned driftwood to its home in the lake. After dinner, we took a walk, where we met a very large stray dog and talked to three people. Very exciting.
